Two IES-Funded Randomized Trials Completed
Last year the grant team conducted two randomized intervention studies to test the effects of new interactive formative assessment called Anchored Instructional Measures (AIMs). A total of 11 middle schools, 20 special education teachers, and 130 students with disabilities participated. This year we are analyzing the test results to determine whether the new formative assessment procedures helped teachers improve their students’ fractions computation and problem-solving skills.
